Qatar Wins World Cup Bid

Qatar has won its bid to host the World up in 2022. That seems a long time off, but since it beat out the United States among others, it's naturally being trumpeted by Al Jazeera. It will be the first time the World Cup has been held in the Middle East. So congratulations to Qatar. (Does FIFA know what the Gulf is like in summer?)

Not surprised Qatar won the bid. Money talks. And they have so freakin much of it. The bitter side of me hopes their air conditioning breaks in the stadiums in the 120 F heat; hate to have to answer for that!
