Iraq and Syria Recall Ambassadors

Iraq and Syria haven't been friendly for a long time, even when both were technically ruled by separate branches of the Ba‘ath Party. Then they severed all links. Today they're trying to feel out a new relationship. But after Iraq blamed recent bombings on Ba‘athists, and ran a video of an alleged confession, the situation worsened.

Now they've recalled their ambassadors. A minor political and (rather obvious geopolitical) drama is in play. Worth watching, perhaps transient.
